Philco 90 help
#1

I just finished recapping and checked all resistors and all tubes tested good. I have the philco 90 with a single 47 output tube. I don't get any signal unless I touch the grid cap of the 1st detector tube. Then everything comes in ok. I've read somewhere what this can be, but I can't find that thread anywhere. It's my 2nd restore. Can someone please help?

You will have to check coil #2, #5, and #7, one or more will most likely have an open primary winding.

My bet will be on coil #5, let us know what you find.

What does the voltage read on the plat of the 24 RF tube?
