Headphone/Ear Bud Jack
#1

I just recently finished restoring a 41-290 that I used to listen to when I was a teen about 50 years ago. Works great, but my wife can't stand it when I listen to the shortwave bands - can't stand all the static, weak stations, etc. How would one go about adding a jack for headphones or ear buds. Wouldn't want to have it in front where it's visible, but somewhere in the back that was reasonably accessible.

Thanks!!

Well, why not just a three conductor bundle out the back to cut off speaker or feed headphones. No need to damage original cabinet.

Got no problem with installing a jack in the back. The problem is that there's four wired going to the speaker and I'm not enough of a tech to know just where to tap into the speaker circuit.
