Philco Speaker Identification
#1

I purchased a small lot today which included a Philco speaker.Appx 8 1/2 inches diagnally across the mounting holes. The output transformer is stamped 2580N and 11-34 is stamped under that. There is a red stamp on the field coil but it is very faded. It looks like K or R 22. It has a 4 pin round plug with a flat on one side and with 3 wires. Can anyone tell me the model it belongs to?
Thanks,
Henry

Using the handy-dandy "Philco Speakers" Excel file available here:

I find that you probably have a K-22 speaker. It has a 2580 single-ended output transformer. 1125 ohm field, rated at 65 mA current.

Intended for use with model 44B, it could also be used with a 19B, 89, or any 1932-36 Philco requiring an 1125 ohm field. You would have to replace the audio output transformer to use it with a Philco requiring a push-pull output.
