Long U Shaped Brakets
#1

I've seen a few people ask about some long U shaped brackets that they found with their Philco radio.  And people always wonder if they should be put in when the chassis is reinstalled, and if so, how.  I found a pair on my 40-180, and now on my 39-30.  I don't think I ever found a definite answer to this, but I think I have one now.

These are the brackets in question:

And this is the tag still inside my 39-30 telling you to remove them after shipping:

Based on the tag, I think we now have a definite answer that these should NOT be installed with the chassis.

Great info!! Thanks.
