Philco 46-1209
#31

I use the yellow ones. The dip cap can be the wrong shape to restuff into the old cardboard tube from the old cap. The down side to using the non dip cap is if you happen to brush your soldering iron you can kiss it good bye. The dips have an epoxy coating.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

I usually determine which cap architecture makes the most sense for each capacitor that will be replaced. I too order mostly the yellow ones with axial leads unless it makes more sense to use a cap with radial leads, such as restuffing bakelite blocks.

I don't order kits. I only order exactly what I need from Just Radios.

Thanks, Some parts arrived today.. My caps for them AC line and some resistors I needed.. So back to the replacement of caps and resistors..Then on to the volume control and tone control .. They seemed not to be working correctly so I need to check again

C201 and C200 Maybe more not sure.. I do not have anything close. Closet value I have is a .0047 Will that work? Or do I need to get one closer?
