G Speaker - Silver Cone??
#1

Guys - can someone tell me if any of the '20's era Philco speakers came with a silver/grey cone? I'm seeing a claim to such, but no clue if it's accurate. In my limited experience, I've not seen a silver or grey cone color on one of the old speakers. Any quick replies would be appreciated. Thanks!

That doesnt sound like any vintage Philco Spkr Ive ever run across before, but I havent seen all them anyways. Bet Ron or Chuck will be by soon to give your spkr question a definate answer. On a side-note, how are you enjoying your new loop-antenna you built? Those rascals "work" indeed!!??? Jus Checkin. Icon_wink

Hey, thanks T-Rocker and good to hear from you! Tuned loop is still going strong -- have it hooked up to a 9-S-263 Zenith console with tuning eye and sure is fun to watch it "lock in"! I need to make a couple more of them - and need to try out your stand design, too. I'll keep an eye out for more feedback on the speaker cone question -- sounds odd to me... C ya.
