Truetone model D1042 question
#1

Hello guy's,
Have a question concerning a 1940 Truetone D1042.
Re-capping, and am having a hard time with the schematics.
Very unclear to me and no parts list to boot.
Question is, there is a double filter cap attached to the inside of the chassis.
Markings on the cap state red, 4mfd x 250 dcwv and yellow 20 mfd x 12 dcwv.
Ground wire is on the end with the red lead and goes to chassis gnd.
Looks like the yellow goes to 6Sq7 tube pin 3.
Red wire was broken off of where ever it belongs.
I am guessing it goes to on of the 6SK7 tubes adjacent to the filter cap.
But I am at a loss and do not want to just guess.
Any chance one of you expert schematic readers could tell me where to attach the red 4 mfd lead?
Tube and pin number would really help.
Also, can I use a 20 mfd x 160v cap in place of the original 12v cap?
Thanks ahead for any help.

Hey Murf, if this is the correct schematic for you radio.

It looks like C3B red wire from cap goes to a 2000 ohm resistor R36 that is connected btwn. pin 4 of the 6SA7 and pin 6 of 6SK7 RF tube.
Yes you can go up in voltage on the cap.

Ok, great.
I see that now looking at the schematic.
Just wanted to make sure I am reading it correctly.

Thanks Mike,
Murf
