question about service bulletin 37-9
#1

In the service bulletin in mentions making several changes to the electolytic caps, which I am planning to do.

It also mentions making a change to the range switch from part number 42-1283 to 42-1314.

First, what is the actual difference between these switches?
Second, if make the changes to the caps, and I do not make the change to the range switch, will I have problems of some sort?

Thanks again and 73,
Kurt

Don't worry about the band switch. That would be too much trouble to be worth the effort; and besides, you can't exactly go down to your friendly neighborhood Philco distributor and order a new one...that distributor went out of business and/or ceased to be a Philco distributor many decades ago!

Do replace the electrolytics with the recommended replacements, however.
