Mounting Kit for 1936 Buick
#1

I am restoring a 1936 Buick and was lucky enough to purchase a N.O.S. CROWE Radio Components mounting kit number A - 11604 which includes the escutcheon plate, dial assembly and various fitting nuts washers and control knobs.

The mounting kit is for use with a Philco radio and the box is factory stamped Z - 160 FOR '38 PHILCO.

The instruction sheet advises the tuning and control mechanisms are packed in a separate carton which is sometimes placed in the radio set carton. Unfortunately I do not have the tuning and volume control mechanisms which are required to fit the dial and escutcheon plate to the instrument panel.

I have been watching ebay for awhile to see if a used control head may be listed with the necessary tuning and volume control mechanisms - none have appeared as yet.

Can anyone suggest where I may obtain these parts?

Hello and welcome!

Have you tried Hemmings Motor News?

http://www.hemmings.com/

Their monthly magazine is quite extensive, including not only vehicles for sale but parts as well.

Good luck.
