Stromberg-Carlson 320-T

I got to playing some more with an online CAD program ( tinkercad.com ) that is for beginners. They even have some focus on using it in schools for kids to learn with so I figured I could give it a go too. I made an initial design for the bezel and sent it off to one of the online 3-D printer outfits, there are a lot of them out there. I'll call this my prototype, see how it fits and then if it doesn't look right or needs adjustment try it a second time. The printing and shipping came to about $17. The printing outfit was found through treatstock.com and I used a company called OKSharPei 3D based in Oklahoma. Another adventure... Icon_cool

The 3-D printed bezel arrived and with a little filing and scraping to make it fit into the cabinet I think it will work out just fine. Not knowing quite what the original looked like since it was pretty well shrunken and crumbled this will do for now. I also went back and pulled the bias battery that I had mounted under the chassis with a "D" cell and mounted a "AA" on the back for easier access. If it does leak it will be easy to fix and if the next owner wants to change it, the original button cell holder is still in place under the chassis.

Finally got to finish the cabinet for this set.  Its 99.9% done.  The pulls on the new front panel need to be selected and installed yet but other than that it is playing and ready to be put into our living room.  Two of the old pulls are on the top of the panel just so you can open and close it as needed for the time being.

One last follow-up on this thread. I realized I had not replaced the label that goes inside the cabinet (found it under "stuff" on my workbench Icon_eek ). So it will go back into the radio but here's a copy of it incase someone in the future might need it. the dimensions are 165mm x 103mm {link to pdf version}
