Hi And Welcome!
Was made in 1947 and covers the AM broadcast and FM broadcast band + 1 Shortwave band. In '47 FM was pretty new and this set probably doesn't afc (auto frequency control) it help keeps the FM stations tuned in. Here is the manual for for it: http://www.nostalgiaair.org/Resources/606/M0013606.htm As to the value it's hard to say. Condition plays a big part. You may what to look at similar ones on ebay and see what they are bring. Some guys like the older sets that are AM and Shortwave and sometime being a console can be a minus if space is a problem. Terry When my pals were reading comic books I was down in the basement in my dad's workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to figure out what all those squiggly meant. Circa 1966 Now I think I've got! Terry
