Atwater Kent 708 Flexible Resistor Identification Needed
#1

Hello Everyone,
I am in the process of rebuilding the sub-chassis in an Atwater Kent 708 radio serial number 4796904 and I am having a problem identifying the four flexible resistors. The schematic that I found online has a different arrangement and shows only three flexible resistors. If someone could please supply a diagram that is the match for my model and showing the resistor values I would appreciate it.
The diagram I have drawn up shows the four resistors in different colors. The red one checks at 200 ohms and the green is 432 ohms. The blue and purple resistors on the lower left side of the diagram are both open and the values for these are what I am searching for. Thank you.
Paul

According scematic in "Rider volume" #4 page 17
Green - R1 425 ohms (corresponded your measurement)
Blue - R9 2000 ohms
Purple - R11 800 ohms
But in this scematic not present red resistor. But any way values above look like rasonable and very near from neccessary.
You can temporary soldering test resisters and adjust its for best result. And then search and bay original wire resistors with determinated values.

Hello,
That diagram in Rider's is a little different from the setup that I have. Note that the R11 resistor connects to ground and the one in my radio connects to the choke. R1 and R9 look correct though.

Have you looked in here?

And in here. 708, 808 and 808A are very similar.

You are right. Scematic 808 is corresponded requered.
On this case
Purple - R11A 160 ohms
Red - R11B 160 ohms
But red according scematic connected from chok to 2nd I.F.
On picture look lile mistake that it going to ground istead  2nd I.F.

808 scematic present in "Rider volume" #5 page 42

None of the diagrams that are shown online are the same as what I have drawn. It is my setup with the two resistors connected to the choke that I cannot find.

Could you possibly trace the flexes to where they go in your chassis?
Should'nt be too hard.
