Well I connected it up and powered the un8t on. Volume on full and no hum at all. You can hear the audio is working as you can hear a slight cracked noise as you turn up the volume. Once I connect the antenna, I just pick up an AC HUM. Mostly in the 65 range on the tuning dial. With the radio in this state, I tried another AM radio and it then picks up the AC hum as well. It seems it's being emitted from the philco radio itself.
I am lost for idea's at this point. Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. The power supply hum is gone with the new condensor box caps.
