Phorum How-To #7: How Can I Change My Time Zone?
#1

First, go to your User CP. Now, click or tap Edit Options under Your Profile.

Look for the Date and Time Options section:

Under "Date and Time Options," look for the text which reads "If you live in a time zone which differs to what this board is set at, you can select it from the list below."

The default time setting for the Phorum is US Eastern Time which is GMT -5:00.

To change it to your local time zone:

Click or tap the drop-down box labeled "GMT -5:00 (current time)" with a time setting, as shown below:

From this drop-down box, select or tap the time zone where you live.

Hint - GMT -5:00 = Eastern Time Zone.
GMT -6:00 = Central Time Zone.
GMT -7:00 = Mountain Time Zone.
GMT -8:00 = Pacific Time Zone.

For Phorum members living outside the USA, you should be able to figure out the proper settings here.

Other Time Settings

While you are here, you can also change a few other settings if you wish to do so.

Date Format

If the date format is not to your liking, click or tap the drop-down box and change it from the system default to whatever you wish.

Finally, you may choose whether you want the system to compensate for Daylight Saving Time or not:

Select or tap the DST setting you prefer in this drop-down box.

When you are finished, click or tap the "Update Options" button...and your settings will be saved.
