Philco 77 request
#1

I'm working up a cap order for some projects. On my 77, it appears that there was a cap box on top of the chassis and someone removed it and then put a few caps in its place and then put the rest underneath in an ugly soldered-in-mid-air technique. While I await Chuck's paperwork, could someone tell me what the caps are in that box?

Three 2.0 uF and one 0.15 uF. All 600 - 630 WVDC if you go with the yellow wrapped film type, which will last longer than the equivalent electrolytics.

And (this seems to be a standard arrangement in Philcos' power filter) 0.15uF across the choke does not have to be 630V. It can be 100V for all I know. Actually this is what I put in.

Thanks....this will be quite an adventure when I get the paperwork. The current caps are a 20/20, two .25s, a .005 and a .05.
