Rogers tabletop 7M632 finished
#1

I haven't been on the forum much lately with other summer projects and commitments but I did find time to buy this Rogers.
It was not very good when I bought it but with a recap and alignment, it does work very well now.The cabinet needed quite a bit of work so I added some veneer where needed and stripped it. I am happy with the way it came out.

That is... stunning.

Love the designs on some of these radios.
#4

Amazing! I don't see any replacement veneer in those photos. Is the grill cloth original?

Nice job Dan!

I Gotta get north of the border and shop around some.

Great looking radio.

Especially impressive is its ability not to fall from the table when it is upside down Icon_lol

No, seriously, it is a very cool looking thing.

That radio brings back good memories... not the radio itself actually, but the station tags. I used to listen to 14 C-FUN all the time as a teen.

Thanks for the comments... The grill cloth is original and if you look at the first photo you can see where the veneer is missing along the bottom. There was some missing along the top edge and I replaced it and honestly I have to look hard to find where I did the repair
As far as the CFUN is concerned. I also used to listen to it and I still do when it comes in from Vancouver BC. I had to make up the station letters, I used letroset [spelling?] on opaque plastic so the light would glow through. It was a fun project.

Great job on a lovely radio!

Thanks for the kind words. I was surprised that someone did not notice that the decals were not on the radio in one of the photos.
I special ordered them from Radio Daze.
