zenith 9s267 question
#1

Have 2 of these, and I noticed one that I re-capped at least a year ago was humming on the station that I listen to frequently.
This radio has not been played since I re-capped it.
Was playing great then.
I noticed that the humm is non-existant on any other station on the dial.
Just the one station has some kind of interference.
I turned off all led and florescent lights in the area and it was unchanged.
Pretty sure it must be something interfering.
Guess I could try moving the radio to a different part of the house and see if that helps.
I know the china made led bulbs interfere big time, as well as my flat screen plasma tv's.

Does the other one also hum on that station when put in the same place? Does moving the radio help?

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

What is the freq. of the station that hums? What is the freq. of your IF? I know a lot of radios get a whistle around 910.

Well I tried other radios and get the same annoying humm on 1130 am.
Something interfering in the area.
This station used to be on fm and then they decided to put sports on the fm station and put the talk radio station on am.
Nothing but problems since then.
Then signal strength get cut in half after about 7:00 in the evening.
Oh well, I guess we all want to listen to sports right?
