willys jeepster philco radio
#1

hi i am new to this forem looks great!
i live in the netherlands and am currently restoring a willys 1949 jeepster
as extra the customers could order a philco deluxe push button car radio.
but i only have the template for cutting out the dash but no extra info such as looks, pictures, model number.
can anyone help me here,??
they use either this philco or the detrola model 8030
( if anyone comes across one of these it's also ok for my restoration, non working no problem.. that counts for either the philco or detrola.)

many thanks
eagle

Eagle, I've got a couple of 49 jeepsters and I've rebuilt a couple of the detrola 8030's but I've never seen a philco radio in a jeepster (and I've seen hundreds of Jeepster). I just rebuilt a Detrola 8030 for a friend and I'm pretty sure he's going to be selling it soon. Be warned they sell for lots of dollars.
Keith

Is there a reference somewhere where you can punch in Philco part numbers and see what models those parts were used in?Jim Dutridge — 10:17 AM
