Chassis 39-3A1 wiring
#1

Hoping for some help with a few loose wires on this radio.  Apparently it is the Canadian version of a popular chassis. It worked fine 30 years ago but storage and transit has taken its toll.  There are two wires that have come un-soldered.  I have included photos to help identify the component and loose wire.

Wire #1 comes off the tall skinny thing next to the tuner, it is greenish/grey in color
Wire #2 comes off a resistor attached to the chassis down at the same end as the tall skinny thing in image 1.

From my descriptions it should be apparent that i'm a Newb.  Any simple explanations or tips would be greatly appreciated.

Hi Steve and welcome,

> There are two wires that have come un-soldered.
Geez and I thought it was hot in PA!!

My best guess is that those wire are the antenna and ground for the set. These weren't solder to anything to start with.
Does the set play when it plugged in, turned on, and an antenna is connected??

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!
