Needy set from Needham
#1

The GE came in yesterday and got started on it. It's from '38 and among other things it has very brittle rubber wire. Was happy and surprised the at ballast tube was good. Spent a good bit of time rewiring and replacing parts. Spkr is shot, the vc has an intermittent connection so I'm not sure whether I'll try to fix it or replace. Good thing is it's pm spkr. For now I just have it hooked to a 6"er I had laying around. Plays good and loud be has a strange attraction to 1030KC [Image: http://philcoradio.com/phorum/images/smi..._smile.gif] It tells me that the 128 is all backed up [Image: http://philcoradio.com/phorum/images/smi...on_eek.gif].
Have to put the push button assy back in and a few other odd and ends.

ps the check is in the mail.

I was down in the basement in my dad's

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

I am glad it is getting restored, enjoy it, I like those flywheel type controls and yes rte 128 is always backed up, or it can be called rte I95, and sometimes 128 is part of I93 so you see why we wander around up here in Boston.....

Good luck Terry, glad it arrived OK. Icon_wink
