Model 60 Wiring diagram
#1

Does anyone know of a wiring diagram for a model 60. I have the schematic but a wiring diagram would also be helpful. Checked the Riders manuals but nothing. I have a Model 60 that I just got but appears that a "golden screwdriver" have been in it and there are several cut wires, a couple of extra caps that have been added and some wiring that doesn't make sense like the ground from the 8uF caps connected directly to the rectifier and the case of the cap is not grounded, etc. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Nostalgia Air has the following pages for the Model 60 which include the under-chassis diagram:

These are from Riders I believe.

There is an official service bulletin (#164 and #164A) but I don't have either of them.

There were several changes made during production. You want to make sure you use the proper one to restore yours. Ron documented it here:

I used Riders for mine. Quite sufficient.

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

I recently lined up three Model 60 chassis for electrical restoration. There was enough significant difference among the chassis that the link Jeff provided was needed to proceed with restoration.

Thanks for all the replies, I will give this a go and see how it works out.
