Half of a 33-3408-3 filament resistor is bad and I'm looking to replace the whole component. It is a 40/80 ohm. what wattage value would be appropriate?
TIA

Actual dissipation is abt 3W BUT if you don't want a flaming hot resistor go w/abt X3= 7-10W.
When my pals were reading comic books I was down in the basement in my dad's workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to figure out what all those squiggly meant. Circa 1966 Now I think I've got! Terry

For power resistors I triple the ating, so for 3W it is 10W for me.
People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Thanks Terry. The math works out to 2.4W X3 Looks like 10W should cover it.
