Farnsworth BT600 schematic question.
#1

Hello and happy new year.
Have a question concerning the connections on the volume switch.
The 3 lugs on the perimeter are what i am wondering about.
I see one goes to ground, center lug has a cap attached, but the third one is disconnected.
Have looked at the schematic, and am not clear if that goes to the 6SQ7 tube socket or to the tone control switch?
As you all know, my schematics reading skills are lacking.
Getting better, but still unsure of myself at times.
Can anyone take a look and straighten me out?
Looks like lead V to one of the center lugs on the tone control switch?
That would be the audio input lug. To 6SQ7 tube?
Thanks guys,
Murf

The actual input is at the wiper (center terminal) of the volume control. There needs to be a connection from the top of the volume control over to the tone switch as it not only controls the tone but also the aux input. Lead R is the audio signal from the detector and should connect to lead V thru the switch. Feel free to poke around, that section of the switch is pretty tame no hv around it.

Terry  to the rescue as usual,
Hi Terry,
Problem started when I went to replace the tube socket for the 6SQ7 tube.
Was acting up. Had to wiggle the to get full volume.
Got a tube socket and there is a million wires and components connected to this tube.
Front side of the socket is very close to the tone control and the chassis which made it very hard to keep things straight. Got the socket put in and had audio(low) and no adjustment from high to low.
Suspected a wire unconnected.
Sure enough, the4 1st wire to the left of the wiper was clipped.
This was supposed to be an easy fix after the cleanup and the re-cap.
Win some and lose some.
