Listening to the Admiral
#1

6T01 Admiral that is, so got this thing recapped and I have to say it sounds pretty darn good, the Jensen speaker that was hacked in to replace the original sounds fine, and maybe it was better than the original. Admiral was not high end and probably did not spend a fortune on parts.

It cleaned up pretty good too, I have 2 admirals in the collection and this one plays better than the 5 Tuber as usually is the case, has a nice sound and speaker is a little basey. btw the photo is a bit old I found the correct knobs from "Radio Pup" I was sent to her by Mike Koste.

The 6th tube makes a difference here.

IF can wire size and Rubber mounts?
Renovated Radios do carry what you need. As for the voltage, a wire should be at least 300V-rated.morzh — 11:13 PM
