PT6 Number 2
#1

The PT6 I had seemed to develop some wiring issues so I bought another. When I brought it up slowly on the variac it actually worked so the original is now the parts donor. Seems to work just fine so I’m just replacing the caps starting with the electrolytics.  Nice and handy to be able to check things as I go along that it’s still working.

This probably should be in cabinet restoration but to keep it one thread.
Case is basically sound - gluing one side back on. I’ll probably clean it first and see if that helps. No huge gouges, lifted wood, etc. Just normal wear and tear with some light scratches. Undecided if I want to totally strip and refinish it.

After cleaning with Goop it looks good. Going to
use some Howards finish restorer on it followed by some wax. Ordered remaining caps from justradios - his minimum order is now $30 which I expect to go up with new tariffs.
