Sadly Ron our founder has passed away but he wished to keep this Phorum rolling so we can all help each other with our queries in the Radio Hobby. So maybe some will have answers. There are many online hobby sellers online who cater to Arts and Crafters, there are many types of movements with hands and battery compartment. You just need to find proper size and improvise. Paul

Sorry to hear Paul! Ron had done a swap so i wanted to pick his brain. My wifes grand parents (deceased met at Philco engineer and office) so i have a handful of philco's i have collected. Do you think it's worth it to try and find an original or retro fit?

The proper quartz penlight battery movement with the correct dial face will work fine. Paul

What kind of clock is this? In most cases you can get a clock movement going again just by cleaning it, unless the pivots, or teeth on the wheels (gears) are worn. There are people that repair clocks as a hobby, and there are places that sell supplies just like there ones for old radios, or vintage cars.

A photo and description of the 42-22cl is included in the 1942 Catalog we have in the library in the Philco Documents section:
https://philcoradio.com/library/index.ph...neup-book/ You have to scroll through the catalog to view it.
