Different Philco Resistor Part Number
#1

My next question about my Philco 50-922 has to do with resistor wattages.

I found this excellent article that answers MOST of what I Need to know.

The problem I have is that the last four digits in the part numbers of my resistors is 8340. For example, R1 has part number 33-5228340. It's a 2.2 meg ohm resistor, but what wattage? The article says the last four digits specify the wattage, but there is no 8340 listed.

Visual inspection of all of my resistors makes me feel that the 8340 resistors have the same wattage rating as the 5340 resistors--they are the exact same size and shape. From this, I assume that I will need to purchase 2-watt resistors to replace any bad resistors with part numbers that end in 8340.

I guess what I need is a sanity check here. Does this seem reasonable?

Schematic here

R14 1 watt, R15 2 watts, all others in the set 1/2 watt.

If I were recapping the set, I'd replace 'em all, easy and cheap, makes a big difference in the end.
