Phorum How-To #6: How Can I Add or Change an Avatar?
#1

An avatar is a small picture you would like to be associated with yourself on the Phorum. It can be a picture of you, of a favorite radio, or just about anything else that is in good taste, not indecent, and that does not violate Phorum rules.

To add an avatar, just go to your User CP:

Look in the Menu column at left for the Change Avatar link.

Click or tap the Change Avatar link under Your Profile.

This takes you to another page:

Look in the Custom Avatar section of this page.

Where you see Upload Avatar, click or tap the Choose File button. This opens a window which allows you to choose a suitable avatar from your computer. Click or tap the avatar you wish to use, then click or tap the OK button. That window will now close. The filename of your avatar will then appear to the right of the Choose File button.

Important Notice: Your avatar must not be larger than 100 x 100 pixels, and cannot be larger than 9 KB in size. If it exceeds these size limits, it will not work.

Once you find the avatar you wish to use, click (tap) the Change Avatar button and then your new avatar will appear next to your username in all of your Phorum posts.

If you have an avatar on Gravatar, you may enter the email address you use for your Gravatar account into the appropriate box and then click or tap the Change Avatar button.
