I have a model 19b with worn spot that slips from about 1100 to 1200 it looks worn there to it has a biger diameter than most dial cords what can be used to replace it?

I like to use rubber o-ring material.
Cut about 1/2 inch short and superglue it together.
Works good.
You can get it from Mcmaster Carr.
