Beam of Light phono didnt work after being serviced I tried the a bulb test by placing a bulb on the wires from the chassis it didnt light , then I switched XXL with 7B5 and tried the bulb test again. The bulb lit. Then, I connected the phono arm as instructed and it lit. The problem is the sound is barely audible and the light is very dim. Is that because I switched the tubes? After that the chassis started to smoked did I cause damage. I switch the tubes back and it still smoked. Will this cause any problems with the chassis shorting. The Radio and the phono have been recapped and restored. Any suggestions?
