42-322 knob decals and speaker

I can see the decals but they are barely visible. How do most restorers replace the decals? Do you use press-on lettering in a gold color? I know that many years ago you could buy the stuff in sheets made by Datek (I believe that was the mfr)

Also, do not know if this is the proper forum for this but the speaker is torn and I have repaired it with GC speaker cement and black tissue paper. Looks good but am a bit sceptical about it working well. Can the speakers be reconed? Never going to find a speaker to these specs.

Getting anxious to power this old guy up after months of electronic restoration.

Hi Dick,
You can still get decals. Go to http://www.radiodaze.com/ Click on reproduction items then decals. They bought out Rock Sea enterprises. You will get good service from them. The speaker sounds like a good repair. I am kind of partial to coffee filters for repair. I am sure it will play fine. Good Luck Icon_exclaim
