Chevron Grille cloth???
#1

HI Chuck,Hi Ron! I'm restoring a 16-B right now..I'm scouting out the availability of the PROPER grille cloth. I have 2 peices of chevron cloth..one from RadioDaze and one from John at grillecloth.com. They are IDentical!! And not NEAR the same as the original stuff. Is there someone who can come up with the original pattern??

To answer your question: No-one produces the EXACT identical pattern to what you have. You will have to make do with what is sold by Radio Daze or Radio Grille Cloth Headquarters.

I know what you mean by the pattern being slightly different. The "Vs" are closer together on the original 16B (tombstone) cloth. The repro V cloth will still look better than old, torn cloth, or than the wrong pattern entirely.

Radio Daze purchases their grille cloth from Radio Grille Cloth Headquarters, so naturally the patterns will be identical.

Veddy well, then! I shall make do with what I have...with the attitude of a stiff uppah lip...and carry on! Toodle-oo!
