metal caps
#1

Finally got my model 70 a voice Icon_biggrin ! All bakelite caps have been rebuilt,
Output trans replaced, and one coil rewound. Works great, but I have yet to replace the 2 metal caps. Question - can I use disc caps to rebuild these units? One is rated at 1200 volts and the other is 2000 v.

Hi Doug

Sorry for the late reply. I must have missed your original posting.

You do not have to use caps rated at 1200 or 2000 volts in the two metal cans. That is overkill. 0.22 uF, 630 volt caps will suffice just fine. The B+ of the set does not go over 300 volts so you will be fine there.
