philco 39-36 pushbuttons
#1

I am finishing a 39-36 Philco console and have a question about replacement pushbuttons. I think I need the long pushbuttons that are available from Renovated Radios. What was left of the pushbuttons that came with the radio had a brass clip on each pushbutton. The old pushbuttons are in such bad condition that they are not much help in determining which replacement pushbutton would be correct. I would appreciate any advice on which is the correct pushbutton. Also what was the purpose of the brass clips on the old pushbuttons?
Thanks in advance for any help that you can give me.

I think someone posted here that the brass springs/clips were there to block light from the dial lamps

Nice job there. A very distinguished looking radio. Would like to see a photo when done with added light. Paul B.Paul Philco322 — 12:27 PM
