What is a "high efficiency aerial". and "Foreign tuning systems"?
#1

"waiting for Mike to translate"

I am the happy owner of Philco 37-116. Listening to the Radio Broadcasting on the HF bands and drew attention to its clear reception and a large dynamic range. Peering into the scheme saw that the receiver can be switched between the type of antenna input with asymmetrical to symmetrical. Our colleague Michael told me that this was completed, even Philco special antenna "high efficiency aerial", and the whole system called "Foreign Tuning systems." I'd like to learn more about this system and other attractions Philco 37-116 model.

Here's some information on the High Efficiency Aerial.

Translation

I am a happy owner of a Philco 37-116.
When listening to stations on BC and SW bands I noticed the reception to be very clear and the dynamic range large.
Upon looking at the schematic I saw that the radio has two antenna input options: balanced and unbalanced. Mike told me that Philco even had a special antenna developed, the High Efficiency Aerial, and the input option was called "Foreign Tuning System".
I'd like to find out more about this system and other salient Philco 37-116 pheatures.

There are articles on the web, and Mike pointed me to some, including that one on Chuck's website but I'd like to hear from experts directly.

Best

Petro.
