Some day, and that day may never come, I will call upon you to do a service for me. But until that day, accept this justice as a gift

Finally done veneering and gluing!

Today is Strip day  Icon_thumbup

Someone put something on this cabinet that was not lacquer so the first strip needed real stripper.
Now to use the lacquer thinner...

Well,
Luckily my belt sander is in the back of the shop so I could not use it..
This cabinet is a real piss off. I had to double strip this crap off and then thin.. I dont know what this guy did but I found body filler in it..... The face was ripped off once and they tore all the veneer..
You can see all the patches in the pics...
I will have to fix all this and then I can start grain filling the cabinet...

I cant do any in this weather... The veneer on Ron's could warp in the high humidity and I cant tone yours in the rain...
I am twiddling my thumbs here!

Bored me...

It seems that you have been receiving the weather we have had here this week. Rain, rain, go away...

Well, today was sunny. Finally. So it should be sunny there in a day or two.

The rain returns here tomorrow, though...and I have an Excursion to try and load... Icon_thumbdown Icon_sad

How about changing GFI outlet under drizzle while in crouched position.....

I found out today that this cabinet has silicone poisoning...
I am toning the cabinet and she has about 6 spots that are fish eyeing badly.......
Soooooooo, I am clearing, sanding, clearing, sanding, clearing, sanding....
Finished that after 2 hours and am now toning.. She will be darker than original as the veneer was so poorly refinished and filled with putty. Any lighter and you would see the mass imperfections...
Never use a belt sander on a cabinet people....
