X2 Safety Cap
#1

I have a radio that calls for a 0.05 uF cap across the mains. It should be replaced with an X2 rated safety cap. Just Radios sells a 0.022 uF or a 0.1 uF X2 safety cap. Will either of those be an OK replacement or should I try to find an exact match.
thanks!

Either is fine.

Oh....and if someone does not like the inrush, sparks and all, thede isva hood thing called NTC Thermistor.
You have to size them up properly but they are great at preventing plug in sparks and limit inrush to very acceptable values.
