Imperial Radio
#1

Hello
I was given an Imperial radio. It has no Model ID on it. It has 6 tubes. One 6A7, one 6D6, one 75, two 42's and one 80. It has two tuning knobs, one for AM and one for SW. A knob to switch from AM to SW. A knob for on/off and volume. So I am looking for help in finding a schematic. I am unable to post pictures because my picture files are too large. They are over the 500kb limit.

Thanks Bob

Here's some info on one way to resize photos, there are many image programs you can use to do it.

It could be a private label radio made by Belmont, Wells Gardner, or one of the other independents for a store chain. Alternatively it may be a foreign made set, American style tubes were commonly used in many places around the world in the 1930s, 40s, and 50s, such as in Italy, Australia/New Zealand, and even in France. It would be helpful to see some pictures, a chassis layout can tell you a lot about who made a set.

What is on the back?
No metal tag? Maybe a red one or a CX serial number?

Chassis is the same as an Imperial 694
The pictures below are a Monarch with the same chassis....

My guess would be that these "Imperial" radios were either made by Belmont or Sentinel so I would have a look under either of those makes, under the 1935-37 model years.

Only tag is the Imperial on front of radio. Nothing on the chassis either.
