Philco 39-6
#1

It's been a while since I've been here.  I'm still having OCD issues with my 39-6.  The previous owner replaced the needle/pointer with the wrong type.  In short, this pointer is supposed to have two needles 180 degrees from each other, this one has only one needle.

Does anyone sell parts for this, or a reproduction?  I've been through the forum with the parts vendors, but no one I saw has tuner needles.

No one reproduces the 39-6 dial pointer. You'll have to find one from a junk set. A 39-6, 39-7 or 39-8 will do.

Just as a aside you may want to mount a thin piece the clear plastic (like from a baked good come in) to protect the gold foil on the dial face. If the dial pointer rubs the foil it tears from it's paper backing and can make a mess of the dial graphs.

I was down in the basement in my dad's

figure out what all those squiggly meant.

Now I think I've got!

Thanks for the suggestions - especially about the foil.  I'll keep a lookout.
