Yes. It can.
People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Keith, I'm sorry that I didn't get to you back by Saturday. Here are the pin resistances like you asked.
80 Tube pin 1 86.8 pin 2 .404 pin 3 .414 pin 4 86.8 6A7 Tube pin 1 .7 pin 2 76.9 pin 3 50.5 pin 4 110.3 Pin 5 10.16 Differs quite a lot from yours pin 6 .6 Pin 7 .6 78 Tube pin 1 .6 pin 2 nothing because I have the speaker tore down right now pin 3 51.5 pin 4 22.2 pin 5 .6 pin 6 .6 75 Tube pin 1 .7 pin 2 same as above pin 3 .735 pin 4 .588 pin 5 .5 pin 6 .6 42 Tube pin 1 .7 pin 2 same as above pin 3 same as above pin 4 .541 pin 5 .6 pin 6 .7 The reason that I tore the speaker down is because of the posts that Morzh did. I am pretty sure that my problem is here anyway. I forgot to get those resistances before I did that though. While I have it tore down I will reinstall yellow wires to the speaker to minimize confusion. I am pretty sure of my wiring though. I think I have a short inside the field coil and hope I get lucky it is on top. The resistance keeps changing each time I handle it. Just so you know the resistance went to 6.39k when I disconnected one lead so it went up as Morzh said. Thanks for your help for a newbie.
