Get from reading all the experiences you all have shared and discussed. Thanks Ron for your

Welcome aboard, Paul! But don't thank me on the dial drive info, thank Richard Hines who supplied the text and photos. I just posted it all on his behalf. Icon_smile

For those curious, the thread in question may be found here.

Welcome Paul!

Hi Paul and Welcome,
I've got it's big brother.

Your 650H is nice looking!!!!

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Thanks Terry, that's a very nice 660 L (right?) its only the 2nd one I've ever seen.
And thanks for the welcome, Paul

Yup 660L. I've only seen one other too, on the net and I think it's over on the left coast.

Nice 650H! I'd really like to find one of those someday! I really like the lyre design! I have a set of lyre back chairs this Radio would look good with in the same room someday!
If they're rare, though, if I was ambitious enough, I might try to make my own cabinet. Icon_crazy
I do have a 650X unrestored that looks pretty decent. It's an 8-tube if I recall, so it should be pretty decent sounding and a good performer!

Here's me 650 MX, that I've had for about 30 years.  Found it in the local paper back then for $50 and restored it, as the finish was too far gone to save.  That is the original speaker cloth! Lucky for me, as reproductions back then, weren't readily available. Seems to be a fairly uncommon model. Love that trap door dial on the 650 series!

Very Nice!!!
I was hoping to get busy on refinishing my 660L but the weather this spring/summer/fall was not very conducive to spraying lacquer. Spring is coming!!
