Kolster K-20 A.F. Transformer
#1

Hello, all.

Tried posting this on another site but didn't get any responses. Since I've always had good luck here, I thought I'd ask another newbie question: is anyone able to tell me what size A.F. transformers are used in a Kolster K-20? They are marked AFT1 and AFT2 on the schematic which can be found here:

Thank you in advance for any help.

Perhaps a couple universal output transformers like the P-T291 from AES?

Hi Dave,

I'm not sure I understand what you are asking. Are you referring to physical size?? Or electrical equivalent??

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

Ok What you are looking for are https://www.tubesandmore.com/products/tr...tage-10-ma  for both. If the transformers are enclosed and have a 1/2" core you can buy just the replacement winding.

Other then the generic AES transformer you could try an Edcor one, or try the solid state substitute circuit that was featured in the A.W.A Old Timer's Bulletin about ten years ago, I think it's posted online somewhere.
