filter choke

What if any should resistance be on filter choke? I have the schamatic for this radio don,t think it shows resistance for choke .
It,s a Philco model 111. Was playing fine listening to it while eating supper smelled smoke . So i checked electrolytic cap bad.
Iam suspecting filter choke. Icon_biggrin

Checked with all wires loose getting 170ohms resistance. Icon_rolleyes

Looks like your choke is just fine. The specs on that filter choke, part no. 3422 are:

Inductance in Henries - 6.5 H., Max current - 150 mA., D.C. resistance - 200 ohms.

Note that the DC resistance has a usual tolerance of 10-20%, so 170 ohms is right in the ballpark.

Be sure there is NO leakage or shorts to the case as well. Disconnect both leads and measure from either one of the leads to the case.
