Philco 37-675 Deluxe just aquired
#1

And I can't wait to get into it. I've been wanting a nice prewar upper end console for a while and just haven't seen any locally that was worth the asking price.

As is stands, I do have a 1941 RCA V-205 that isn't in great shape and the chassis has had a couple of major parts replaced that keeps it going, but it's not an open dial console.

In any case, hopefully I can have it done by Christmas time so that I can actually enjoy in playing OTR while on vacation.

Here is a picture of it.

By Christmas.....it's a challenge. You have to re-cone the speaker, and it is, if I am correct and it is the same as in 37-116, a 14" one and Sound Remedy for instance do not have any such cones. They suggest a ring and 12" cone which will work but the quality might not be the same.
Plus this is a large chassis probably similar to that of 37-116, with 3 sections and RF sub-chassis.
Go for it Icon_smile

People who do not drink, do not smoke, do not eat red meat will one day feel really stupid lying there and dying from nothing.

Beautiful!
I myself bought 2! in the last 3 months. $45.00 and $60.00 so who could pass them up. I gave one to a friend and have the other one going in to a 3rd cabinet another friend gave me.
Are your knobs missing? I think I have a bunch of them minus the lever. You can buy the lever for about $15.00 on eBay. If you need the 4 round knobs just let me know.
