Brad, can you post a pic of the 16 in the cabinet.  When I bought mine, the chassis was out of the Acousticraft cabinet.  when I went to put it in to save some space, the mounting holes in the shelf are not even close.  It looks like the chassis may have been mounted on something else, then that was bolted down.  Perhaps another sheet of steel?

Here's a picture. The wood brace across the back, allows the chassis to float, and also allows for adjustment as to chassis placement.

Thanks! That's simple to reproduce. It certainly does not secure the chassis for other than vertical transport! The shelf on my radio has what looks to be guides for something on the underside of the shelf,  Not sure what those wood pieces are for.  I thought maybe there was an entire assembly that slid down with the chassis for service.  This simplifies things a lot!

Looks like you've been doing some chrome polishing!  I wish the chrome on mine was in that good of condition.
