38-116 dial assmbelly
#1

I'm trying to figure out what dial scale parts I need to order for my 38-116 code 121 that I got last week. I know I am missing the dial but no problem finding reproductions and I also need the band select mask as mine is damage. What I am trying to figure out is what holds the dial scale on? I've been looking at Philco Service bulletin 273,http://www.philcorepairbench.com/autodial/index.htm . But I am still unsure if I need the spacer and how the dial scale mounts. Here are a couple photo's of my dial area.

Hi

Have you looked here?

http://www.philcorepairbench.com/autodial/index.htm

This page on Chuck's site includes complete instructions for servicing the Philco Automatic Tuning mechanism, including replacement of the dial scale.

The dial scale is held onto the mechanism by a sort of "ring" which is part of the dial scale. The instructions referenced above should help out. The mechanism has to be partially disassembled in order to replace/install a dial scale.

Thanks Ron. This thing is a real monster and I hope I don't have any bad coils.

Thanks
Rod
