Hey, that's a cool set! And the price was definitely right! Icon_biggrin

I think you should pass it on to me. Icon_lol Just kidding!

Anyway, to answer your question, here are the specs for the 32-8234 transformer:

Primary 117 volts - you want to replace with one rated at least at 120 volts.
High voltage secondary: 560 volts center-tapped (280-0-280), 65 mA
Filament secondary: 6.3 volts @ 3.3 amps

I see the original transformer was vertical mounting - which will make it much easier to find a replacement since nearly all new transformers are vertical mounting - but was enclosed inside a metal can. If you're lucky, you might find one which will fit inside the original can; but if not, I wouldn't worry about it too much.

I've just looked at a couple sources, and you won't find an exact replacement, but something close. You will probably end up with an extra 5V secondary which you won't be using, so it will have to be either carefully taped off, or attached to a terminal strip with nothing else attached to the leads, to keep them from shorting out to something else.

Here are some suggestions.

Hammond (from Radio Daze):
HX-370EX, HX-260G, HX-270DX.

Edcor:
XPWR013 may be the perfect replacement for you - no extra winding, just one unused lead as the 6.3 volt winding is center-tapped. The B+ will be lower but the radio may like that.
Other Edcor suggestions: XPWR009, XPWR038, XPWR044.

Good luck.
