Philco 16B & 116B instruction pamphlet
#1

Does anyone have the instruction pamphlets Philco included for either or both of these radios - 16B and 116B?

I am looking for the instructions for the code 121 radios... the early 1935 art-deco tombstone and the early 1936 shouldered tombstone.

Thanks for your help.  I haven't found either of these yet on this site.  Maybe I just missed them.

I have included pix of the radios just to be clear.

Scott,

Did you check the Downloadable files section? I found some info on the 16, not sure if this is what you're looking for. There's also a thread with the 116X manual available. It should be similar to the 116B, since the coverage and controls were the same.

If this isn't what you're looking for, a hunt through the internet is probably called for, unless a member here has it, and just hasn't scanned and made it available yet....

Thanks Jeff. I already found the 116X pamphlet and the 16B code 125 sheet. Just nothing specific on on the two I mentioned. A first hunt on the internet turned up nothing. I will keep looking though. If it find them, I will post and share them.

The lower pic radio doesn't seem to be a 16 or 116.

Mike, it is a 116B alright, just refinished incorrectly (no two-toning).

Indeed Ron, it is not done correctly... but, beggars can't be choosers.  I will correctly redo it when I retire some day - lol!   That said, here is the interior tube layout sticker.

Yep, now I can see it. I thought it was 620 or such.....it almost looks smaller that way.

Ken

No, it is not a 620, it is indeed a 116B.

OH,,,I believe you--ALL,,,,,I see the base is Different,,,,

It'd hard to argue with the tube layout label.   Icon_rolleyes

While the finish isn't as it should be, the 116 is a strong player on all bands.  Now, if there was just something descent on radio to listen to... lol!

BTW - I'm still looking for those operating instruction pamphlets!   Icon_yawn
