i am not really sure how to use the index, based on my model 46-1226,, as in where inside the manual is the info for my radio?

The publication includes radios up to 1937. Your 1946 radio wouuld not be in there.

Alignment info for your radio should be in the service bulletin found on the audiophool site.

You need the djvu plug in or reader to view the document.
