38-9 How to remove Bezel from Cabinet?
#1

Hello Forum.  I need help with this Bezel removal.  i am just starting on this radio project and I want to get the cabinet ready for refinishing.  Then on to the chassis later next month.

Anyone know if it is glued on the cabinet or fastened some way?

This is a family heirloom radio from a friend  and it is in very good original condition.

Thanks.

I think the outer ring rotates CCW a couple of degrees and then pops off? Behind it is a locking ring that screws to the cabinet?

+1 gently pressing it inward.

When my pals were reading comic books
I was down in the basement in my dad's
workshop. Perusing his Sam's Photofoacts
Vol 1-50 admiring the old set and trying to
figure out what all those squiggly meant.
Circa 1966
Now I think I've got!

John & Terry-

Thanks for the tips, that did it.  Just the CCW  twist and the outer plate came off.
Then removed the 4 screws and it's done.

Thanks again.
